Trine Riel is a writer based in Ireland. Her essays on homoerotics, death, and TV have appeared in various newspapers and magazines (see PUBLICATIONS for details). She is the series editor of Bibliotek for Antinatalisme at the Danish philosophy press Forlaget Senmund. 'Salige er de barnløse', her first book, is out in 2025.
Education: I studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths College and completed my PhD, on Nietzsche and asceticism, at University of Galway in 2019. The previous year, I was a visiting researcher at University of Essex, School of Philosophy & Art History. I have given papers at a number of institutions including The Royal Irish Academy, Harvard University and Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.
Translation: My translation experience covers a range of different formats, from press materials to dubbing scripts, drama and academic texts. If you have a project you need help with, get in touch. NB: I only translate between Danish (+Norsk bokmål) and English.
